Although shoveling doesn’t make the snow disappear, it pushes the snow to the side. Clear your mind every so often to keep moving forward.

A few weeks ago, I was driving on a busy highway. As I was about to change the lane, I discovered a spider on my left shoulder.

I don’t particularly like having spiders on my shoulder. But you will agree that a wobbly car while changing lanes on a busy highway would be worse.

For a few moments, I had to push the thought of the spider out of my head to focus on what was more important.

That’s what we sometimes have to do during challenging moments.

Do some people dislike you for reasons best known to them?

Are you worried about the future of your medical coverage?

Are you concerned about your mom’s memory lapse?

Although all of these are important, for the next hour, keep all these and other concerning thoughts to the side and lift the load of only the next one hour. Focus only on what’s actionable and time sensitive. It will improve your efficiency and give you calm.

I hope you have a productive and peaceful day today.
